I have started curating Spotify playlists in preparation for my shoots. I know I say it a lot, but I am really inspired by music and if the couple is comfortable with it I like to play music during my sessions. The song for this album was on the playlist I created for Brooklyn + Abraham’s session without realising it was actually going to be their wedding song!! So it made for such a special moment when the song came on. Make sure to go find the song to listen to while you look at these pictures! You won’t regret it.

The night before this shoot we decided last minute to get up at 5am and get to the location at sunup. We were supposed to be in for some nasty weather so I was hoping for some fog to roll in, and mayyybe a touch of rain. Once we got there, everything was EXACTLY what I had wanted. It was giving “frolic in the fields” in the best kind of way.

I had been looking forward to this session so much, primarily because of Brooklyn’s hair I cannot lie. LIKE ARE YOU KIDDINGGGG? Gorgeous, naturally curly locks? As someone who is very much a part of the thin hair community, boarding on bald (haha jk but kinda not), it was everything I could dream of. So as silly as it seems, I kind of built the vibe I wanted from this session from there. That is how I ended up driving around the region for HOURS scouring to find the best location. Just as I had completely given up hope, I found this spot. The fields, the trees, the hills…I had stumbled upon heaven practically.

It was Brooklyn + Abraham’s seven year anniversary the day we shot these pictures. It was an honour to be allowed to capture their love, and it felt so special that they trusted my creative vision. It was a dream.
